The Westgate Hotel consistently struggled to rank within the first 3 pages of search results in the competitive San Diego hotel market.
Strategy:
Anvil worked with The Westgate Hotel to optimize the website as well as local listings on all major sites. This optimization included on-site tactics such as keyword research, meta tag updates and back-end updates. Local listing optimization focused on ensuring a consistent N.A.P. (name, address, phone number) as well as duplicate listing clean up and citation building. While Anvil worked to optimize Westgate’s presence the hotel worked with additional partners to promote events and gain inbound links.

-#1 ranking in Google Local Carousel for multiple geo-specific terms and #2 Organic ranking for “San Diego Hotel”
