Anvil Employee Profile: Joanna Hammond
by Anvil on December 14, 2020Account ManagmentMeet Joanna. She’s our newest Account Coordinator, with a strong educational background in Marketing and Business. She’s eager to learn and has already proved herself to be a much-needed asset to the Anvil team. During her first month with us, we took a bit of her time to ask her a few questions about her start at Anvil.
Why did you choose a career in digital marketing?
JH: Since college, I have always been intrigued by the dynamic world of digital marketing. As someone who is a mix of both creative and analytical, I was drawn to a career that would allow me to utilize both of these seemingly opposite skillsets. I have also always been a strong writer and I wanted to utilize my writing skills.
What originally attracted you to Anvil?
JH: Last spring, I took Kent’s Search Engine Marketing Digital Marketing Course at PSU, which inspired an interest in SEO and Paid Media. Coming from a background in content at a smaller agency, I was incredibly impressed by Anvil’s high-profile clients, dedicated team, and SEO services that better aligned with my digital marketing interests.
What is the favorite part of your job at Anvil?
JH: My favorite part of my job at Anvil has been getting the opportunity to learn about many different industries. I love that each day is so different! I also have enjoyed making connections and forming relationships with clients, as well as helping them solve any problems that may arise.
Who is your favorite Anvil client and why?
JH: I’m still in the process of meeting new clients each week, so I’m sure I’ll have many favorites! So far, First Tech has stood out to me as being incredibly friendly as they welcomed me to the team.
What do you feel is your greatest accomplishment to-date at Anvil and why?
JH: I’m still very new, but I feel like it’s a significant accomplishment to have onboarded completely virtually during these crazy times. I’m impressed with how friendly the team is and how easily they have made me feel included even while we are all virtual and haven’t met in person yet!
What digital marketing influencers, blogs, podcasts, or publications do you find most informative for your career?
JH: Publications like Search Engine Journal and Search Engine Land have been super helpful at catching me up to speed on SEO topics. Along with asking questions and learning from the experienced team here at Anvil, of course!
We look forward to growing with you, Joanna! Her passion and willingness to jump right in since her first day has been invaluable. Keep reading our blog for more industry information and news about Anvil Media Inc.
